Introduction

Driver Expense ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our iOS application. The short version: we don't collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to external servers. All information — including location data used for mileage tracking — stays on your device and under your control.

Location Data & GPS Usage

Driver Expense uses your device's GPS and location services to provide automatic mileage tracking and idle detection. Here is exactly how we handle this data:

• On-device only: Location data is processed and stored exclusively on your iPhone. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared with any server, cloud service, or third party.
• Used only when active: Location tracking is only active when you start a shift or trip. The app does not track your location in the background when you are not actively recording a trip.
• You are in control: You can revoke location permissions at any time through your iPhone's Settings. The app will continue to work for manual trip entry without location access.
• Idle detection: The app uses location data to detect when your vehicle is stationary, ensuring accurate mileage logs. This processing happens entirely on your device.

Information We Do Not Collect

Driver Expense is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
• Your location data — GPS coordinates are processed on-device and never sent to us or any third party
• Trip or mileage records
• Expense entries or financial information
• Device identifiers or usage analytics
• Any other personal or sensitive data

Local Data Storage

All data you enter or that is generated by Driver Expense — including trips, mileage records, location history, expenses, categories, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device. This data:

• Never leaves your iPhone
• Is never uploaded to any cloud service or external server
• Is not accessible to us or any third party
• Is fully under your control

If you delete the app, all locally stored data — including location history and trip records — will be permanently removed from your device.

No Account Required

Driver Expense does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the app. You can start using all features immediately upon installation.

No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use any analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising identifiers, or similar technologies within the app. We have no way of knowing how you use the app, what features you access, or any details about your usage patterns.

No Advertisements

Driver Expense does not display advertisements. We do not partner with any advertising networks or share any data with advertisers.

Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. Location processing for mileage tracking and idle detection is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Core Location framework. No location data is shared with external services.

Children's Privacy

Driver Expense is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any personal information, we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
